The last production car was created with Tony Stelliga and Damian Mctaggart at the helm. Mctaggart had previously designed the TVR Cerbera, Tuscan & T350. The high performance Marcos TSO GT which featured a 6.0 litre aluminium V8 engine was tested by Richard Hammond on Top Gear and considered to rival the leading sports car competition on launch in 2007.

Jem and Frank supported by a succession of brilliant  designers like Dennis Adams created some legendary high performing lightweight and innovative British sports cars.

From the Marcos Mantis XP to the Mini Marcos and Marcos Mantara these motorsport derived sports cars have carved out a unique reputation for innovative design and world class performance. Whether it it the swooping lines of the Marcos LM600 racing car at Le Mans or the silhouette of the jaw dropping Mantis XP at Goodwood, Marcos Cars have always stood out.

THE VISION

In 2010, ex-F1 and IndyCar engineer Tony Brown acquired Marcos Cars, Marcos Engineering, and the brand. With support from Jem Marsh, Dennis Adams, and the Marcos Owners Club, he developed the mid-engined Spirit 220 prototype and began rebuilding the company for global growth. Now partnered with entrepreneur William Storey, Marcos has secured new investment and formed ambitious plans involving top automotive names.

A new Marcos supercar is upon us. Lightweight, derived from F1 technology, and British-designed, owned, and built. Set to launch in November 2025, it promises exceptional performance and innovation.

The team includes elite British engineers with backgrounds at Rolls-Royce and Bentley, ex F1 test drivers, the MarketGenie media team, and industrialist Anthony Barrow. Marcos also maintains key relationships with Burton Performance, Cosworth, Pirelli, and Collins Performance Engineering.
